(nee Mitchell) After all our wonderful years together, it is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of our mother on Tuesday, September 2, 2003, in the Almonte General Hospital. Beloved wife of the late D. Ward McGill, and the adored and much loved mother of Lynn Gogal (Gary), Wendy Whiting, Mary O'Keefe (Larry), Cathy Blanchard (Don), Caren McGill and Janna Chilton (Dan). She is the cherished Nannie to Wade, Lee, Nicole, Krista, Mitchell, Taylor, Cailin, McKenzie, Andrew, Matthew and Jack, who will miss her greatly. Mum was born in Birsay, Saskatchewan, and was a nursing sister with the Canadian Red Cross during the Second World War. In addition to being a wife and mother, she enjoyed curling, golfing, tennis, lawn bowling, and bridge with her friends. She also greatly loved painting, drawing and travelling. Even in her 80s, Mum surprised us with her openness to new and different things. Thank you Mum for your love, patience, courage, cheerfulness, thoughtfulness, kindness, wisdom, confidence, and trust. You were always there for us, and we miss you dearly. May God hold you in the palm of his hand. A private family service will be held in the C.R. Gamble Funeral Home Chapel, on Friday, September 5, 2003. If you so wish, a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. C. R.
