->BANGOR - Eileen F. (Gavin) Donahue, 90, died peacefully Oct. 3, 2013, at a Bangor health facility. Eileen was born Jan. 24, 1923, in Woburn, Mass.A Graduate of Forsythe Dental School, Eileen worked in Bangor as a dental hygienist for over 40 years. She was a proud member of the Altrusa Club of Bangor for over 50 years and enjoyed working on their many fundraising and charitable events. Eileen participated in many volunteer activities for the community and enjoyed traveling with family and friends.Devoted wife of the late, William H. Donahue Jr., Eileen is survived by her son, Brian G. and wife, Susan Donahue, of Bangor; and her daughter, Ellen D. and husband, John Wood, of Chelsea. Eileen was a loving grandmother to Joseph, Michael, and Jeffrey Wilcox of Bangor, Matthew Donahue of Bangor, and Aaron, Jennifer, Lynn, and Christopher Watson of Chelsea; and great-grandmother of, Gavin and Noah Spearing of Bangor, Alexander and Benjamin Wilcox of Bangor, Alexandria and Max Soucy of Chelsea, and Parker Watson-Mason of Chelsea. Eileen was predeceased by her five siblings, Alyce Deehan, Reta Foley, Mary E. Gavin, William Gavin Jr., and John "Jackie" Gavin all of Massachusetts; and by her great-grandson, Connor Soucy of Chelsea. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Mary T. Gavin; and many nieces and nephews.Friends may call 1-2 p.m. prior to a memorial service held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, at Greenlawn Memorial Funeral Home, 300 State St., Bangor. The family invites friends and relatives to join them in a reception following the service. Interment at Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody, Mass., will be at a later date.
