Edward Williams, father of Hugh, Ted and Stephen, died at 87 years old. Please consult the obituary here:
WILLIAMS, Edward Joseph "Ted" It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Edward Joseph (Ted) Williams on January 18, 2005, in Victoria, British Columbia, at the age of 87. Born in Greenwich, England in 1917, Ted served in the First Canadian Field Regiment in World War II and was a long time employee of Customs and Excise. Ted was an avid golfer with tours at the Chaudiere, Rivermead and Kanata Golf Courses in Ottawa and at Lone Palm in Lakeland, Florida. His passion for golf, scotch, wine and music was second only to his love for Margaret, his wife of 63 years. Predeceased by a son, Hugh, Ted is lovingly remembered by his sons, Stephen, in England and David (Simone) in Ottawa; and his brother, Eric in Moose Jaw. He will be missed by granddaughters, Michelle Leafloor (Randy), Katherine Albee (Steve) and Sharon Williams, great-grandsons, Jordan, Bradley, Cameron, Patrick and Owen. No service by request. Friends may remember Ted with a contribution to the Alzheimer Society of Canada. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.mccallbros.com 32057
