Edward Francis O'Quinn, Jr. - SAVANNAH - Edward Francis O'Quinn, Jr., 89, of Savannah, died Friday, Jan 11, 2013 at Tara of Thunderbolt. He was born in Savannah, Ga, and was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Hodges O'Quinn, and his parents, Edward F. O'Quinn, Sr., and Dora Elizabeth Crosby O'Quinn. He was a veteran of WW II where he served in the U.S. Army, with the 10th Mountain Division in Italy. He was Past President of the Southeastern Chapter of the 10th Mountain Division. He retired after 42 years of service, with the Seaboard - Coastline Railroad, where he served as Assistant Division Engineer. He was a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Temple, where he had served as an Usher, and taught the Senior Adult Railroad Men's Sunday School Class and he also served as a Sunday School Teacher in the Junior Department. He is survived by a son, Edward Francis O'Quinn, III (Sally) of Savannah, Ga; two daughters, Cathy O'Quinn Cleland (Henry), of Savannah, Ga; and Teri O'Quinn Crosby (Keith) of Riverside, California; sister, Jacquelyn O'Quinn Savard of Savannah, Ga; 6 grandchildren , 6 great grandchildren. Visitation: 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Fairhaven Funeral Home - Hubert C. Baker Chapel. Graveside Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday in Bonaventure Cemetery, with Rev. David Cleland, officiating.
