James Edward Lee, 70, of 527 Sleepy Hollow Court, Tamassee, S.C., died Wednesday, September 24, 2008, at his residence on Cherokee Lake.A native of Walhalla, Mr. Lee was the son of the late James Ervin and Lillie Pauline Robins Lee. He was a retired construction supervisor and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.Mr. Lee is survived by son, James Christopher Lee; grandson, Dustin McKay Lee; Chris's mother, Sissy Lee of Walhalla; sister, Louise Towe and husband, Clarence, of Walhalla; brother-in-law, Kenneth Hopkins and wife Judy G.; nephews, Jeff Hopkins, his wife Sherry and their children, Mackenzie and Jon Harris, and Jarrett Towe, his wife Sarah, and their children, Jarrett Ross and Allie; niece, Lisa Hanvey, her husband Steve, and their children, Maclaine and James. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lee was predeceased by brothers, Bill and Bobby Lee; sister, Judith Hopkins; and nephew, Jim Lee.Per his wishes, graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 27, 2008, at Oconee Memorial Park.
