Edward-Joseph Hock, born in 1938, spouse of Mildred Hock, son of Adolph and Mary-Elizabeth, father of B. C and Terry, died on June 21, 2009 at 71 years old.
HOCK 2009-06-28 Mr. Edward Joseph Hock, age 71 years, of Kakabeka Falls, ON, passed away unexpectedly at his home, on Sunday June 21st, 2009. Edward was born on October 17, 1938 and attended Ogden School, Central School and Fort William Vocational High School. He was very passionate about racing cars and did so for many years at Riverview Raceway. He was the Late Model Point Champion in 1972, driving car #99. He worked as a serviceman and manager for Canadian Propane before opening his own business Hock Gas Service. In recent years he has been working for Central Canada Fuel. Ed loved spending time on his farm, where at one point he raised cows which were like pets to him. Ed is survived by his spouse Mildred Hock, his son Terry Hock (Brenda) of Penticton, B.C., sisters Gertrude Bell of Edmonton AB, Jackie Wright of Winnipeg MB, brothers Arthur (Wilma) of Winnipeg MB, Tommy (Vicky) of Langley BC, Walter of New Westminster BC, and Martin Horvath (Carol) of Thunder Bay, ON., grandchildren Lynden and Kira of Penticton BC, and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Mary Elizabeth Madge (nee Twardowsky), Adolph Hock as well as Bobby Horvath. Funeral Services for the late Mr. Edward Hock will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday June 30th, 2009 in the Chapel of the HARBOURVIEW FUNERAL CENTRE, 499 North Cumberland Street.
