GARVEY, Edward Hugh Wallace Affectionately known by his family and friends by Butch or Shane. Born Jan. 2, 1946 and passed away Aug. 27, 2005 suddenly at his home. A beloved father of Shane and his wife Kris, and his daughter Shawna and family. Dear brother of William and his wife Madeline, Constance and her husband Brent Hunt, Victoria and her husband Harold Newton, Barbara and her husband Andre DeRoy, and Roberta and her husband Ross Racine. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Rita Garvey, and brothers Richard and Thomas. Edward served as a proud member of the Black Watch of Canada. Visitation will be held at Janisse Bros-Marcotte Funeral Home (253-5225) from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations may be made to the Downtown Mission. A tree will be planted in memory of Edward Garvey in the Janisse Bros.-Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held on September 25th, 2005. All are welcome.
