WALKER _ Edna May (nee Robinson) Edna May (nee Robinson) passed away quietly at the Bethany Care in Cochrane, Sunday, March 27, 2005. Born in Cochrane, Alberta on April 23, 1911, Edna and the rest of the Robinson family moved to Exshaw when she was twelve years old. Except for a year's schooling at the Calgary Normal School, Edna lived in Exshaw until 1971 when she and her husband Maurice, retired to live in Calgary. While in Exshaw, Edna was active in the United Church and enjoyed many social activities such as curling, bowling, bridge, dancing and her special favourite - golf. She also acted as substitute teacher at the Exshaw school. Left to mourn are her son Russ Walker (Anne); son-in-law Paul O'Hara; brother Robbie; grandchildren, Michael, Tim, John and Kevin O'Hara; and Kim, Richard and Robert Walker; as well as nine great-grandchildren. Edna was predeceased by her husband Maurice in 1989 and her daughter Jean in 1995; sister Annie in 2003; and brother Joe in 2002. The family wish to give special thanks to the staff at Bethany Care Centre, Cochrane, for their kind and considerate care while Edna made her home there. Donations can be made in Edna's name to the Canadian Cancer Society. Memorial Services will be held at St. Andrew's United Church (128 - 1 Street East), Cochrane, Alberta on Friday, April 1, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. with The Rev. Heather Koots officiating. Cremation.
