Obituary of Edna-Ruth Harris-Edwards


Edna Ruth Harris-Edwards, 61, died Feb. 17, 2007, at Southwest Florida Regional Medical Center in Fort Myers. She was born in Rochell, Ga., and lived in Fort Myers for 16 years, moving from Fort Pierce where she resided for 45 years. She was a member of Penal Seventh Day Adventist Church and a deaconess of the church in Fort Myers. Survivors include her sons, Artimus Walker of Fort Myers and Robert Harris of Orlando; daughters, Sabrina Harris and Tashunda Harris, both of Fort Myers; brothers, Willie Walker of Miramar, John Walker of Fort Pierce, Rudolph Walker of Jacksonville, Charles Walker of Gifford and Randy, Steven and Fredrick Walker of Fort Myers; sisters, Willie Thomas and Thelma Brown, both of Fort Myers, Linda Mosley of Gifford and Patricia Swann of West Palm Beach; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Walkers Sr.; mother, Ruby Rayan-Walker; and sister, Brenda Weston. SERVICES: Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. Feb. 24 and 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 25 at Sarah's Memorial Chapel in Fort Pierce. A service will be at 2 p.m. Feb. 25 at East Florida Primitive Baptist Association Temple, with burial in Riverview Memorial Park, Fort Pierce. A guest book may be signed at www.sarahsmemorial.com.
