EDNA JOSEPHINE FALCONER (PARKS) Mom, grandma, and great-grandma passed away peacefully in the early-morning hours of Thursday, Nov. 25, 2004 with her granddaughter by her side. Mom was born Jan. 7, 1922 in Brandon, Man. to Harvey and Esther Rogers but at an early age, the family moved to Mine Centre, where she was raised. Mom met and married our Dad and grandfather, James Wilmot Parks, whom she was predeceased by in 1963. Together they had three children. Mom was fortunate to have found another to love and was married to James Quentin Falconer in 1967, and was predeceased by him in 1997. Mom also was predeceased by her parents, Harvey and Esther Rogers; two brothers, Robert and Elmer Rogers; and a great-nephew, Barry Rogers Jr. Mom leaves to mourn her passing her three children, Vera Woods (Russ) of Alvinston, Ont., and their children and grandchildren, Sandy (Mark) Thomson and their children, Carling, Morgan, and Jenna, of Petrolia, Ont., and Gordon (Debbie) Woods and their children, Brittany and Kyle, of Amherstburg, Ont.; Blair (Janice) Parks of Fort Frances, Ont., and their children, Stephen (Angela) and her children, Brett and Sammi, of Fort Frances, Ont., and Michael Parks, also of Fort Frances, Ont.; and Terry (Marylou) Parks of Fort Frances, Ont., and their children and grandchildren, Troy Parks, Terrilynne Davis (Dan) and their children, Dustin, MaryLouise, and Jaymielee, and James (Megan) and his daughter, Jain Ashley Parks, all of Fort Frances, Ont. Also surviving is her brother, David (Juanita) Rogers and their children, Stella Rogers-Stromness (Ed) and their children, Travis and Devin, of Crozier, Ont., Christine Groulx (Luke) and their children, Josh and Jesse, of Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., Ralf (Arlene) Phillippi of Maple Ridge, B.C., and Reiner Phillippi of Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. Mom also is survived by her stepchildren, Jeanette (Joe) Stenhouse and their children, Michelle and Christine, of Red Deer, Alta., Paul Falconer of Red Deer, Alta., and Jim (Barb) Falconer of Cold Lake, Alta. Her niece and nephews, Lynn (Bruce) Hamilton, Reg (Carol) Rogers, and Barry (Nora) Rogers, along with extended family members Elizabeth and Jaydan Logue of Crozier, Ont., also survive. Family was everything to Mom as was evident by the unconditional love she bestowed upon us. We were made to feel special and could talk to her about anything and everything. Mom was our backbone, and left a legacy of enduring strength behind. Mom liked to share special occasions with family, and was always pleased to hear the footsteps and voices of the children. I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always. Mom was a modest and humble woman, and will be remembered as such. Funeral services for Mom will be held Monday, Nov. 29, 2004 at 2 p.m at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, with visitation one hour prior to. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances.
