TODD - Edith (Wallace), of Saskatoon, passed away April 1, 2006 at Royal University Hospital. Edith is survived by her husband of 63 years, Charles Wesley Todd; her children, Maureen (Greig) Pearce of Yorkton, SK, Corlene (Dean) Swann of Saskatoon, SK, and Arlen Todd of Calgary, AB; grandchildren, Trevor (Laurie) Smith of Allan, SK, Wanda (Kelly) Boon of Allan, SK, Deanne (Glenn) Turner of Saskatoon, SK, Charlie and Troy Pearce (April, Dustin and Drake) of Yorkton, SK, and Kat (Ray) Todd-Schwartz of Sacramento, CA; great-grandchildren, Stephanie and Stacey Smith and Chelsea and Kristy-Lee Boon; sister, Ida Capes; and numerous nieces and nephews. Edith was born June 4, 1919 in Belfast, Ireland and immigrated to Canada with her parents, Hannah and William Wallace and three siblings at the age of six to the Young district. She attended Kingsbridge School. Edith married Charles Todd in 1942 and they resided on the family farm at Zelma until 1976 when they retired to Saskatoon. Edith was actively involved in all aspects of church and community life. She loved reading, embroidery work, baking and gardening. As a young girl, she loved horseback riding. Edith's family wish to thank the staff on 5000, RUH for their wonderful care given to her over the past two weeks and the staff at Sherbrooke, House 7, Kinsmen Village for the excellent, compassionate care over the past three and a half years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Saskatchewan, 1405 Faulkner Crescent, Saskatoon, SK, S7L 3R5 or the Sherbrooke Foundation, 401 Acadia Drive, Saskatoon, SK, S7H 2E7. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. from Park Funeral Chapel (311 Third Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK). Rev. Michael Webster officiating.
