WILLIAMS Edith Smith Williams, a longtime resident of Jacksonville, died on June 29, 2007 in Westford, Massachusetts. She was the beloved wife of James L. Williams who died in 1993. They celebrated 53 years of marriage. She was born in Isle of Wight County, Virginia on March 15, 1915 a daughter of Sarah (Owens) and Littleton Smith. Mrs. Williams was a homemaker and an active member of the Glenlea Grace United Methodist Church on Arlington Blvd. where she participated in the United Methodist Women and the Lecture Class. She had also been a member of the Homemakers Club in Jacksonville. Mrs. Williams is survived by a daughter Louise Wey and her husband Robert of Westford, Mass. and a son, James L. Williams, Jr. and his wife Annette of Bossier City, Louisiana; granddaughter Catherine Wey; granddaughter Kristin Silva and her husband Chad; and two great-granddaughters Lindsey and Shelby Silva. She is also survived by a sister, Margaret Riggins of Portsmouth, Virginia. She was predeceased by a grandson Scott Williams. The family will gather graveside in Arlington Park Cemetery for the funeral service on Thursday, July 5, 2007 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Glenlea Grace United Methodist Church (6429 Atlantic Blvd., Jacksonville FL 32211) or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (332 N.
