Obituary of Edith S. Lawson


Edith S. (Lawson) Lawson, 83, passed away on March 20, 2011 at the Metro West Medical Center in Natick. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis A. Lawson who passed away in 1996 and with whom she shared 43 years of marriage. Born in Needham, the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Ann (Ford) Lawson, Mrs. Lawson was raised and educated in Needham. She was employed as a clerk and cashier for a number of years at the original J.M. Fields Department Store in Natick and later at Building 19 1/5 in Natick prior to her retirement in the mid-1990's. Mrs. Lawson's true enjoyment was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed exploring the world on her computer. Mrs. Lawson was the devoted mother of Sue Nolan and George of Orange, Douglas Lawson and Janet of Framingham, Dennis Lawson and Jacki of Upton, Mary Nolan and Michael of Athol, Joann Reed and Steven of Westminster, Don Lawson and Kristen of Framingham, and the late David Alden Lawson and Daniel Curtis Lawson. She is also survived by 18 cherished grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lawson was pre-deceased by many dear brothers and sisters. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Mrs. Lawson's Life on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St. (at Natick Common) NATICK. Burial will follow at Dell Park Cemetery in Natick. Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2011 from 4-7 PM in the funeral home.
