BENSON, EDITH KATHLEEN - The death of Edith K. (O'Neill) Benson, age 86, of Belleisle Creek, NB, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, July 29, 2008. She was the wife of the late Ralph D. Benson and daughter of the late Fred and Isabella (Ness) O'Neill. Edith is survived by her sons, Jerry and Jan Benson, of Belleisle Creek and Fred Benson, Saskatchewan; daughters, Cathy and Brian Thorne, of Sussex, Marilyn and Arnold Keith, of Avonmore, Carol and Gailand Law, of Lower Kars and Jeannie Benson and Ed Downey of Belleisle Creek, and Helen and Al Clark, of Saint John; fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Rolph and Doris O'Neill, of Belleisle Creek; sister, Gladys and Leonard Hart, of Belleisle Creek; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by sister, Mary and brother, Fred. Resting at Sherwood's Funeral Home and Life Tribute Center (839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visiting on Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral service well be held from St. Simon and St. Jude's Anglican Church, Belleisle Creek, on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at 11:00 am followed by interment in adjoining cemetery.
