Edith J. Stanley 1941 - 2012 WESTFIELD - Edith J. (Carlson) Stanley, 70, of Westfield died Friday in Holyoke Medical Center. Born in Norwood, she has lived in Westfield since 1959. Edith was employed as a supervisor at the former Digital Equipment Co. for twenty years, and worked at Savage Arms in the quality control department for eight years, retiring in 2006.She was also employed by the former K-Mart of Westfield. She had a passion for gardening and a love for swimming . She was predeceased by her husband Robert Johnson in 1989,her husband David Stanley in 2007,and her brother Richard Carlson. She is survived by two daughters, Karen Parks, and Robert McTaggart of Otis, and Arleen Patoine and her fiance Donald Hamm of Westfield, two brothers, David Carlson, and Russell Carlson ,both of Wrentham, three sisters, Ellen Carver of Norwood, Janet Manley of Dedham, and Betty Carlson of Oregon. Edith also leaves her three loving grandchildren, Brandon, Conor, and Collin and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service,76 Broad St., Westfield on Wednesday from 4PM until 7PM.Relatives and friends are asked to meet directly at Our Lady Of the Blessed Sacrament Church,127 Holyoke Rd., Westfield on Thursday at 11:30AM for a funeral mass.
