LEVY, Edith Isabel (nee Hands) - With great sorrow we announce the unexpected passing of Edith Levy at the age of 89 at York Memorial Hospital at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 3, 2009. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years Arnold Levy. Edith was the loving and deeply loved mother of Barry, Rise and Evan Levy, granddaughter Ashley Lunardon (nee Levy), daughter-in-law Cathy, son-in-law Gerry, grandson-in-law Guido and great-grandchildren Luca and Vienna. She is survived by many friends who will miss her dearly. Edith was full of energy and plans and laughter till the end. If there was a committee she'd run it, a show she'd see it, a trip she'd take it and a bridge game she'd win it. She was a constant source of love, generosity, enthusiasm and fun to all who were lucky enough to know her. She was an unforgettable woman and will be deeply missed. Services will be held on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Temple Sinai, 210 Wilson Avenue.
