EDITH HOWARDJORDAN, 90Homemaker FORT MEADE - Mrs. Edith Howard Jordan, 90, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2011 in Sebring, FL of heart failure. Mrs. Jordan was born November 9, 1920 in Bowling Green, FL where she lived as a young girl, attending school and graduating from Hardee County High School in 1939. Mrs. Jordan moved from Bowling Green to Fort Meade in 1956 where she was a homemaker and a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Fort Meade. Mrs. Jordan was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Jordan, Sr. on June 23, 1984. She is survived by her son, James E. Jordan, Jr., Fort Meade; daughter, Karen Jordan Cochrane and husband Rick, Fort Meade; grandsons, Brian Cochrane and wife Jessica, and Christopher Cochrane, all of Fort Meade; one great grandson, Rider Cochrane, Fort Meade. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church, Fort Meade with funeral services following at 2:00 pm.
