<!-- FH = North Brevard Funeral Home -->On February 14, 2013, Edith Hall Anderson of Merritt Island died quietly in her sleep just shy of her 94th birthday. Edith was born in Yonkers, New York. She had two sisters, Mildred and Dorothy. Edith went to school in Yonkers and had the privilege of attending drama class with Sid Caesar. Edith worked at JC Penney's on 34th Street in New York City, when James Cash Penney was actually still working in the office. She met Ernest just before World War II and they married in 1945. Edie and Ernie moved to Michigan where they started a family and raised three children; Ron, Barry and Doreen. In 1964, Edith and her family moved to Cocoa Beach.Edith enjoyed golf, playing cards, painting watercolors, bingo and knitting. She had been a long time member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Cocoa Beach and the Eastern Star. After 57 years of marriage, Ernest passed away in 2002. Edith is survived by her children, Ron (Tiffany), Doreen (John) and Barry (Janice); and 5 grandchildren.A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday, February 18, 2013 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 2116 Garden Street, Titusville, FL.
