Funeral for Edith E. Palmer, 83, of Town Creek, will be at noon Friday, Aug. 6, 2010, at Donald Baptist Church, Town Creek. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. to noon. Burial will be in Hardshell Cemetery, Town Creek. Mrs. Palmer died Aug. 4, 2010.Mrs. Palmer was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Mary Garrison; one son, Kenn Johnson; two sisters, Lillian Garrison and Flora Williams; two brothers, Travis Garrison and James C. Garrison; and one brother-in-law, Theo Peck.She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ulon Palmer; one daughter, Deborah Ann Darby (R.G.); one sister, Bobbie Lou Peck; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Sloan (Blake); three sisters-in-law, Joyce Garrison, Barbara Stover and Marvolene Isom; nieces and nephews.She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.She was born in Franklin City, Ala., and lived most of her adult life in Muscle Shoals and Town Creek.She was a retired nurse from Shoals Hospital; most of her time was served in the emergency room.Special thanks to Dr. Ron McCoy and Dr. Loren McCoy, fourth-floor nurses at Helen Keller and staff of Mitchell-Hollingsworth and Southern Care Hospice.
