Funeral service for Earlie Mae Williams, 73, N. Halifax Avenue, Daytona Beach, who died June 1, 2007 at Florida Hospital Hospice Oceanside, Ormond Beach, will be 3 p.m. Friday, June 8, at Greater Friendship Baptist Church, with the Rev. L. Ronald Durham, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation is today (Thursday) from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Friday viewing will be at the church from 1:30 p.m. until time of service. Mrs. Williams was born in Daytona Beach and was a lifelong resident. She was employed at the R.J. Gainous Funeral Home, Inc. as our telephone receptionist since 1984. She was a member of Greater Friendship Baptist Church where she served as church organist and pianist for over 50 years before her retirement in 1993. She also served as church organist for Shiloh Baptist Church, New Mt. Zion Baptist Church and St. John Baptist Church. She was a 1951 graduate of the former Campbell Senior High School. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, crossword puzzles and she was an avid reader, historian, and had a great sense of humor. Survivors include her sons, Alvin Ward, Vincent Cue, Horace Williams and Gerald (Pam) Williams, all of Daytona Beach, Roderick (Yolanda) Williams, Clyo, Ga., Maurice (Alisha) Williams, West Palm Beach, Fla., Larry (Darlene) Williams, Valerico, Fla.; daughter, Beatrice Williams, Daytona Beach; 14 grandchildren, Erica, LaToya, Takia, Shalonda, Bernard, Rosalin, Felecia, Reginald, Jessica, Earlisha, Abner, Keona, Aliyah and Jordan; six great-grandchildren, Eric, Bruce, Ta'Leya, Shianne, Roberto, and Jada; sisters-in-law, Mary Henderson and Martha McKenzie, Paterson, N.J., S.W. (Paul) Ellis, Monticello, Fla.; brother-in-law, Tommy (Maple) Williams, St. Petersburg, Fla.; and special friend, Keturah Jackson.
