CRAWFORD -Earl L. Crawford, of Shell Lake, SK, passed away at Pincher Creek, AB on March 12, 2008 at the age of 63 years. Earl is survived by his sons: Dan (Shannon) of Pincher Creek, AB and Mike (Jennifer) of Calgary; three grandchildren: Lane, Bryce and Jacob; his sister, Gert (Jerry) Hart; his brother, Ken (Val) Crawford; his aunt, Erna Milne; and by his cousins, nephews and nieces. Earl was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Viola Crawford. Earl was born in Rosetown, SK to Harold and Viola Crawford on January 8, 1945. He lived his early years on a farm south of Rosetown. After marrying Karen Crawford (Sim), he moved to the next farm over, to start his own family. Earl and Karen had two boys: Dan (Shannon) and Mike (Jennifer). Earl was a member of the R.C.M.P. in 1997 acting as an auxiliary member in Rosetown for the next seven years. In 1997 Earl rented out the farmland. He always wanted to work up north. In 2002 he began working at fly in fishing camps in Northern Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Earl moved to Shell Lake, SK in 2005 to spend more time in the wilderness he loved. In the fall of 2007, Earl's health started to fail. He moved to Pincher Creek, AB to be closer to his family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Elks Hall, Rosetown, SK on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor David Jensen officiating. Interment will follow at a later date.
