CLARK, EVELYN EUGENIA ROCK, 79, died on Friday, September 3, 2004 in the Central Florida Regional Hospital. She was one of Sanford's natives and accomplished musicians, who was a lifelong member of Zion Hope Missionary Baptist Church. She was also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Evergreen Temple #321 of Elk and Crooms Alumni (classes up to 1949). Mrs. Clark had retired from a stellar career of 34 years as an educator in Sumter and Seminole County Public Schools and was the most recent recipient of the Seminole Community College 2004 Distinguished Service Award. Survivors include one daughter, Cynthia Alma Clark, Sanford; two sons, Larry Clark, Washington, D.C. and Antonio Clark; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. One goddaughter, Valarie Mitchell Herring; numerous other relatives, several devoted others who cherished her well being and a host of friends. Funeral Service is 12:30PM on Saturday, September 11, 2004 at Zion Hope M.B. Church, Sanford with the Reverend Michael Griffin officiating.
