Williams, ElizabethElizabeth (Betty) Mako Hansen Williams, of Milford, passed away on Sunday September 1, 2013 at the Carriage Green in Milford. Elizabeth was born in Bridgeport on November 27, 1908 daughter of the late Anna and John Mako, she lived in Pennsylvania for many years before returning to Bridgeport. She married her late husband Arthur Williams in 1966 whom she met at Warnaco where they both worked.She was a lifetime member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Trumbull, were she was a member of the Dorcas Guild and served as a greeter at the church for many years. Along with her late husband she took many trips their favorite places where St. Thomas, VI and the island of Aruba. She is survived by a son Kenneth Hansen, of Hamden, nieces Eleanor Karlak, of Seymour, Lauren Sullivan and her husband Kevin, and their daughter Paige and nephews David Karlak of Cotati, CA and Connor Sullivan of West Newbury, WA. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a sister Anna Tomko and a nephew John Tomko. The family extends their sincere thanks to her caregiver Liz Soby, neighbors Deirdre and John Foley and Mary Heerema for their loving care and concern for Betty. Friends are invited to attend a celebration of her life on Friday September 6, 2013 at 11:00 at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 406 White Plains Rd, Trumbull, CT with Rev. Linda Kraft, Pastor officiating. Burial will be private. Friends may call at the Church on Friday morning from 10:00 am until time of service.
