SMITH, Elizabeth Verdier Wall,a resident of Montgomery,AL, passed away on Friday,April 10, 2009. She is survivedby her husband of 60 years,Harold Bert Smith; daughters,Margaret Smith, Ann Carothers (Littleton), Leisa Johnson(Larry); grandchildren, BrooksCarothers, III, Owen Carothers, Bailey Johnson, HarperJohnson; and great-grandchild, Brooks Carothers, IV.Mrs. Smith attended publicschool in Birmingham and received her Bachelor's degreefrom Birmingham SouthernCollege where she met Bertwhen they were both studentsthere. She taught elementaryschool in Autauga County, atSt. James School and at Maxwell Elementary. She was amember of Kappa Delta Sorority and Delta Kappa Gamma Society. Visitation will beon Sunday, April 12, 2009from 6:00 PM v 7:00 PM atLeak-Memory Chapel.Graveside services will beheld on Monday, April 13,2009 at 1:00 PM at Greenwood Cemetery with Chaplain Therese Erickson officiating.
