SMITH, ELIZABETH MAE "BETTY" SCHUSTER Elizabeth Mae "Betty" Schuster Smith, age 88 of Vestavia Hills, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her son, Robert E. Smith and is survived by her son, Paul D. Smith; daughter, Georgia Smith; brother, Michiel Schuster; 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and other extended family. Betty sang in the choir for many years at Highland's United Methodist Church. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26th, at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from Noon until 1:30 p.m. at Ridout's Valley Chapel in Homewood. Services are under the direction of Ridout's Valley Chapel (879-3401) located at 1800 Oxmoor Road in Homewood.
