PITTSFORD - Elizabeth "Betty" Mary Manning, 67, of Pittsford died unexpectedly Sunday, May 19, 2013, at her residence. She was born April 5, 1946, in Rutland, the daughter of John and Lila (Eddy) Cocklin. Mrs. Manning grew up in Rutland and had been a longtime resident of Proctor, prior to relocating to Pittsford in 2000. She had been employed as an operating technician at the Rutland Regional Medical Center for over 30 years, prior to her retirement. Mrs. Manning loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and gardening. Survivors include her husband James E. Manning Jr. of Pittsford; two daughters, Patience Thurston of Woodsville, N.H., and Mary L. Roucoulet of Rutland; a son James E. Manning III of Barre; two sisters, Marlene Senecal of Pittsford, and Pat Randall of Hubbardton; three brothers, Joseph Cocklin of TX, Bernard Cocklin of FL, and Robert Cocklin of KY; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Barbara Light, and two brothers, John Cocklin and Charles Cocklin. There will be no public calling hours or funeral service. Private graveside services will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Castleton. Arrangements are by the Aldous Funeral Home.
