Elizabeth Ann Curran (nee Hoyt), a lifelong Yonkers resident, died on Friday August 8, 2008 in Ft. Montgomery, New York. She was 57 years old. She was born on May 3, 1951 to Gilbert A. and Elizabeth A. Kelly Hoyt in Yonkers where she was raised and educated, graduating from St. Peter's Grade School and Sacred Heart High School. Mrs. Curran was employed at the Westchester Treetop Day Care Center in Elmsford and previously, she was a secretary at Ciba Geigy Corporation in Ardsley. On October 6, 1973, she married Joseph J. Curran in Sacred Heart Church in Yonkers. Mr. Curran survives and lives in Yonkers. In addition to her husband, Joseph and her mother, Elizabeth A. Meechan of Cornwall, N.Y., she is survived by one sister, Susan Ponte and her husband Gary of Ft. Montgomery, N.Y., a brother in law, Christopher Curran and his wife Paula and five nieces and nephews, Kristin Doyle and her husband, Jon, Andrew and Ryan Ponte and Christina and Ryan Curran. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was pre-deceased by her fathers, Gilbert A. Hoyt, Jr. and Joseph Meechan. Visitation will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, Yonkers on Tuesday August 12 at 9:30 AM.
