88, a former Hastings resident died Thursday in Palmetto, FL. Mr Patrie was born and raised in Yonkers. He worked in the aviation field his entire career. He worked for Curtis Wright aviation in Paterson, NJ for 20 years as Director of Field Service Representatives. He then worked for National Air as the Superintendent of engine maintenance and later worked for Eastern Airline in the same capacity. During World War II he worked in Florida preparing planes for service. On June 25,1938 Edward married Antoinette Paretti in St. Matthew's Church in Hastings on Hudson. Mrs. Patrie died in 1990. They moved to Miami Springs, FL in 1949. Survivors include one daughter Cheryl Patrie of Miami Springs, two nieces Valerie Tipa and Robbie Murry, two nephews Harold and Louis Patrie.
