He moved to Lakeland in July 1981 from Valdosta. He was a truck driver for Stericycle. He was a Mason and a Shiner. Edward is preceded in death by his parents MC and Lou Annie McGill; 1 brother, Lewis and 1 sister, Wanell. Edward is survived by wife, Jolene McGill, 3 sons: Tim (Melissa) McGill, Steve McGill and Mike (Cathleen) McGill, 2 brothers, Lavern (Vianne) McGill and James McGill and 1 sister Edna (LaRue) Bryan, 5 grandchildren. Visitation on Thursday 6/21/12 from 3-4pm with a service following at 4 at Central Florida Casket Store and Funeral Chapel. Flowers are accepted or contributions can be made to Shriners or Good Shepherd Hospice.
