LILLIAN, AL- Edna Jacobs Carpentier, age 72, of Lillian, AL died July 21, 2012. She was employed with General Motors for 28 years and an active member of her community, where she enjoyed spending time with her Bunco group, the Eagles of Pensacola, and was a member of the Lillian Community Club and VFW Auxiliary. Born in Talladega, AL on Nov. 5, 1939, Mrs. Carpentier was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Coleman Jacobs and Mary Lou Harden Jacobs. She is survived by her husband, Albert Carpentier of Lillian; son, Matthew (Brandy) Carpentier of Silverhill, AL; granddaughter, Brooke Carpentier of Lillian; grandson, Gage Carpentier of Lillian; nephew, Harry (Jewel) Jacobs of Leighton, AL; and niece, Kathy (Casey) Newberry of Hogansville, GA. A memorial service will be held for Mrs. Carpentier at a later date.
