CLARK, EDITH FRANCES, 65, of Winter Springs, FL passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at her residence. She was born on Thursday, May 19, 1938, in Stamford, CT. Ms. Clark was employed by the F. D. A. as a Legal Instrument Examiner. She was Catholic and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam War. She began her distinguished career in March 1957 and after recruit training, her first assignment was at Receiving Station, Washington, D.C. Subsequent assignments included, among other commands, Naval Station, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, Recruit Training Command (Women), Bainbridge, Maryland, and Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Florida. Her assignments and advancements have ranged the spectrum of leadership from Seaman to Chief Legalman. Her outstanding service has earned her the Good Conduct Medal (fifth award) and National Defense Service Medal. Each of her accomplishments were a direct result of dedication to her profession. She is the daughter of the late Ralph Clark and Susan (Arbutowich) Clark. She is survived by her brothers, John R. Clark, Ralph Clark, Michael Clark, Vincent D. Clark; sisters, Susan Clark and Kathy Clark. Visitation will be at Banfield Funeral Home on Monday, January 26, 2004 from 6-8PM. Funeral services will be held at the Banfield Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 27, 2004 at 10AM with Pastor Stanley E. Coon officiating. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery, in Bushnell, FL with full military honors.
