LIMESTONE - E. Dorothy Murphy, 87, of 5040 Nichols Run Road, Limestone, passed away Sunday (April 29, 2012) at the Bradford Ecumenical Home. Born Sept. 28, 1924, in Jamestown, she was a daughter of Carl and Katie (Brandquist) Larson.On June 2, 1951, she married Lawrence E. Murphy and lived in Hamburg for a number of years before moving to Limestone in 1985. She was a member of the Limestone American Legion and the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department Club. Anyone who knew Aunt Dot knew she was a kind and honest woman. Family and friends were very important to her, and she will be greatly missed. Dorothy is survived by her husband, two daughters, Colleen (Richard) Wallin of Limestone and Cathleen (Larry) Bishop or Bradford, Pa., two grandchildren, Carl Wallin of Wilmington, N.C. and Dawn Bishop of Emporium, Pa.; two great-grandchildren, Dakota and Alissa Harlen of Springfield, Mo.; a sister, Mildred Bentley of Zephyr Hills, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews around the globe. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Augusta Rose, and two brothers, Leonard Larson and Donald Larson. Honoring her wishes, no services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
