Dulcie Myrtle Wheaton 1918 - 2006 PICTOU, N.S. - The death of Dulcie M. (McFee) Wheaton, age 87, formerly of Sackville, N.B., occurred on Monday, June 5, 2006 at her home in Pictou, N.S. Born on September 30, 1918, in Cookville, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Fletcher and Hazel (Maxwell) McFee. A former resident of Sackville, N.B. Dulcie was a member of the Sackville Canadian Legion Branch #26 Ladies Auxillary; having received her 50-year pin in May of 2005. In her working days, she was a meat cutter by trade. After caring for both her parents until their death, she remarried and was a devoted wife and homemaker. Her meals of at least five vegetables daily was a tribute to the time she devoted to her home and family. Being a great speller - Mom spent many hours circling her word-find books and reading. She is survived by her son, Ronald Ward (Brenda), Sackville N.B. and daughter, Rowlena (Eugene) Cole, Pictou, N.S.; step-daughter, Faye (Eric) Oulton, Summerside, PEI; step-children, Gordon Wheaton, Gregory Wheaton, Frederick Wheaton Jr. (Teddy), Sylvia Partridge, and Tracey Wilson; five grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Wallace Ward; son, Austin Ward; daughter, Patsy (Ward) Beaule; brother, Roland McFee; sister, Ruth Crossman; second husband, Frederick Wheaton; step-children, Stanley Ward, Ruth (Ward) Bulmer and Charles Ward. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell's Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. Visitation will be held Wednesday June 7, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Campbell's Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2006 at 2 p.m. from Campbell's Funeral Home with Rev. Vernon Vickruck officiating. Interment will take place in the Sackville Cemetery. Donations in memory of Dulcie may be made to the charity of ones choice. [Times & Transcript]
