Doyle Robert Carter SPARTANBURG, SC-- Doyle Robert Carter, 67, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, April, 10, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice House. D.R. Carter was born in Augusta, GA. He was a retired railroad engineer from CSX railroad. He was a member of Evangel Cathedral church in Spartanburg. He was survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Teresa C. Brinson and Tony Brinson of Martinez, GA; his son, Doyle Robert Carter Jr. of Augusta, GA; his two grandsons, Houston Brinson and Hogan Brinson both of Martinez, GA; his sister, Constance Nichols of Elizabeth City, NC; his brother, Raymond E. Carter of Nags Head, NC; a half brother, Glen Broglin of Rock Mt., NC; and two half sisters, Nancy Broglin of Augusta, GA, and Shirley Ryals of Harlem, GA. A memorial service will be held Monday, April 15, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Evangel Cathedral Church, 500 Evangel Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29301.
