She was born Nov. 1928 in Springfield, MO, the daughter of Walter and Mary Ethel (Umphres) Graves. Dorthy was a lifetime member of Springfield Bible Church and Grace Bible Church. Her faith in Christ was a priority in her life and brought her much joy. She retired from Burlington Northern (Frisco) Railways after over 40 years of employment. She loved to bring laughter to others. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Ruth L. Hull, a brother Terry Lawrence Graves, three husbands: Joseph Apgar, Nicklos Willems, and Louis Smith, a nephew Charles Hull and a niece Suzanne McCarthy.She is survived by four nieces: Georgia Brown, Betty Owen, Peggy Mabbott and Cindy Pederson, grand-nieces and nephews and two special cats Hope and Buddy.Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 28, 2014 from 1-2 pm with funeral services starting at 2 pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Burial will be at Eastlawn Cemetery at a later time.
