Dorothy R. Williams, 81, widow of Wm. Norman Williams, died Dec. 4, 2002. Born in Asheville, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Claude E. and Stella Smith Rich. Mrs. Williams was owner of Dot Williams Beauty Salon and a member of Laurel Baptist Church, the Lydia-Ruth Sunday School Class and the S.C. Hair Dresser's Association. Surviving are her daughter, Linda W. Slaton of Greenville; and three grandchildren, Matthew, Joshua and Zachary Slaton. Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Laurel Baptist Church with the Rev. Clyde Wright officiating. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 until 1:45 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mental Health Association of Greenville, 301 University Ridge, Suite 5600, Greenville, SC 29601, or Laurel Baptist Church, 2331 Laurens Road, Greenville, SC 29607.
