Dorothy "Gail" Newcombe (née White) May 17, 1935 - March 20, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Sands Funeral Chapel (Duncan) Born May 17, 1935 in Montreal, Quebec, passed away with family by her side on March 20, 2005 in Duncan, British Columbia, after a courageous two year battle with cancer. Survived by her loving family: husband Doug of 48 years; her three sons Robert (Glennis), Dave (Elizabeth) and Gary (Nadine); grandchildren Selena, Davey, Samantha, Stacie, Erin and Caitlyn. Predeceased by her father Robert Reginald White and her mother Gertrude White (Kyle). Gail was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 108, Chateauguay, Quebec. The family would like to extend their personal thanks to the staff at Cainsmore Place and a special thanks to the staff of the south wing for their compassion and care in the final months of Gail's life. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Gail's name. A memorial service to be held at a future date.
