Dorothy U. Smithof Johnson CityDorothy U. Smith, 88, of Johnson City, passed away Saturday afternoon, March 20, 2004 at Wilson Memorial Hospital. She was predeceased by her only sister, Lillian Utley. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jack S. and Margaret O. Smith, Calif.; three grandchildren and spouses, Susan and John, Jack and Kathleen, Sydney and Gerald; and six great-grandchildren.Funeral Services will be held at the J.F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Main St., Johnson City, Thursday, at 1 p.m. The Rev. Elvin S. Murphy will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Thursday from 12 p.m. until the time of the services.
