Dorothy S. Owen, 88, Bradenton, died Dec. 1, 2005, in South Carolina. She was born May 10, 1917, in Canton, Ohio, and came to Bradenton in 1960 from Riverdale, Md. She was a nurse and a member of Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include daughters Lynda O. Cole of Bradenton and Susan P. Bell of Lamar, S.C.; a son, David B. of Bradenton; a brother, Robert Shickle of Hedgesville, W.Va.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Brown and Sons Funeral Home, 26th Street Chapel. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Church of Nazarene.
