BISHOP Dorothy S. Bishop, age 90, of Stratford, died on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at Bridgeport Hospital. She was born in Hartford to the late Samuel and Harriet Stanton. Mrs. Bishop was retired from Milford Bank where she had been employed for many years at the Broad Street branch. She was a member of the Baldwin Center and the Milford Garden Club. Mrs. Bishop had been a volunteer with the former Stratford Red Cross and also at the Eli Whitney School library. She is survived by one daughter, Deborah Quinn and her husband, Jerry Chylkowski, of Fairfield and her children Aidan Quinn and Alexia Quin; one son, Kenneth S. Bishop and his wife, Mary, of Stratford and their children, Lauren Bove and Hadley Spagna; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Harriet Cann and a brother, Thomas Stanton. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 2000 Main Street, Stratford with Rev. Robert Stuhlmann officiating. Interment will be private. Friends may call on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford.
