WILLIAMS, DOROTHY REYNOLDSBorn in London, England July 17th, 1920 - Passed from this life in Victoria, BC August 4th, 2013Beloved Wife, Mum, Nan and Sister - Dorothy was cherished by all those who knew her and most particularly by her family. She gave us a carefree childhood - full of stories, songs, imagination and nature. She filled our lives with light, laughter and gaiety. She taught us how to love all creatures, great and small - and sent her love of animals into the future through her children and grandchildren. With her love for beauty and her artistic talents, she created lovely surroundings wherever she happened to be - her touch could be seen in the smallest of things. Mum was an inventive, gifted homemaker and gardener extraordinaire - we all appreciated just being in her environments. Joie de vivre helped her to appreciate what she had and always see the bright side of life - what a blessed trait to possess. She inspired us with her courage, resilience and strength - in many stages of her life. She wrapped us in unconditional love and was always there for us, in her own unique way - a Mother's gift to her children and grandchildren - Brian and Daphne Williams (Leith and Eric), Jackie and Kenn Petruk (Eamonn and Emily).Dorothy was predeceased by her Husband, Ron Williams (2005) - they are probably dancing already, as they did when they first met. A young Canadian serving in the Royal Air Force, set his eyes upon Dorothy at a Red Cross dance ... the rest is history.A family celebration of Dorothy's Life was held August 16th, by the beach in Tofino, Vancouver Island - a special place for us all.Loved and Cherished Always- Our Lovely English Rose
