Chicago, formerly of Athens - Dorothy Newsome Owens, 84, of Chicago, formerly of Athens, died Monday, June 29, 2009. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2009, at the funeral home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2009, at Hurley Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Interment will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Survivors include daughter Betty Joyce Davis of Detroit, daughter Doris and son-in-law Claude Johnson of Chicago, a host of nieces and nephews, ten grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
