LAKELAND -- Mrs. Dorothy J. Murphy of Lakeland died of heart and lung failure Friday (March 18, 2005) at Good Shepherd Hospice Residential Unit. She was 70.Born Feb. 14, 1935, in Geneva County, Ala., Mrs. Murphy came here from Geneva in 1972. She was a homemaker.Mrs. Murphy was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Johnny Murphy. She is survived by her son, Chuck Hallman, Polk City; daughters, Wanda LeGer and Charlene LeGer, both of Lakeland; brother, Johnny S. Yohn, Polk City; sisters, Betty Kelly and Tina Miller, both of Lakeland, Jean Gilly, Geneva; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lanier Funeral Chapel, Lakeland. Services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
