Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Collier-Butler Chapel for Dorothy Morris, 86, Webster's Chapel, who passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2009. The Rev. Donald Douthit will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.Dorothy was a native and lifelong resident of Webster's Chapel. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and retired from EMCO Inc. with approximately 15 years of service. She enjoyed cooking and gardening and was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters; and two brothers.Survivors include her son, Wayne Morris, Webster's Chapel; grandchildren, Jessica, Jamie and Ronnie Morris, all of Webster's Chapel; sister, Bessie Randall, Alexandria; and several nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be Junior Maxwell, Larry Maxwell, Johnny Vinyard, Roger Smith, Roscoe Douthit, L.R. Morris and Larry Morris. Honorary pallbearers will be all personal friends.The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Coosa Valley Health Care Center and Dr. Willbon Bates.The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
