Dorothy Marie Murphy, 91, died Jan. 31, 2012, at the Treasure Coast Hospice Residence, Stuart. She was born in Cambridge, Mass., and came to Stuart 23 years ago from the Berkshires and Boynton Beach. She was a graduate of Leominster, Mass., School of Nursing and remained a homemaker throughout her life. She was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church, Hobe Sound. Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Ann Walker of Pittsfield, Mass., and Jo Ann Farren of Stuart; sons, John Murphy of Leominster, and Michael Murphy of Cape Cod, Mass.; eight grandchildren; and 13 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Murphy; and brother, Kenneth Duffy. Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 S.E.
