MORRIS, Vivienne Dorothy(nee Goldspink)September 14, 1927 - June 16, 2012It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Dorothy left us peacefully on June 16, 2012 at the age of 84 years. Dorothy immigrated to Canada with the family in 1970. She dedicated her life to caring for her family while still pursuing her passion for cake decorating for which she won numerous cups and ribbons. Dorothy spent many hours as a volunteer with the Girl Guides of Canada as a leader and camp quartermaster and was coordinator for several Calgary area Girl Guide bazaars. Left with loving memories is Trevor, husband for 57 years; children Selwyn (Mary) and Rowena; grandchildren Stephen and Emily; along with many close friends. She will be missed by those who knew her.A Celebration of her life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W., Calgary, AB) on Friday, June 22, 2012 from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends so desire, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. The family would like to extend appreciation to the staff at the Mayfair Care Center for their care and consideration during her short stay. In living memory of Dorothy Morris, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.
