ObituaryDorothy M. Shea, 78, of Cape Coral, died Monday, September 9, 2002. Born in Goshen, IN on February 3, 1924, and residing in Toledo, Ohio for 53 years, she moved to Cape Coral in 1979. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Ralph, daughters Pattie (Robert) Fenner and Mary Anne (Myron) Monsrud, sister JoAnne (Charlie) Johnson, brothers Albert (JoAnn) Redman and Don (Mary Lee) Redman,and six cherished grandchildren. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church in Cape Coral. Dorothy was a veteran of the US Navy, as a member of the WAVES from 1944 to 1946. She was active in soliciting funds for WIMSA (Women in Military Service of America), and was a member of Caloosa WAVES Unit 76. She retired as school secretary for St. Pius Catholic Church in Toledo, Ohio in 1974. A memorial mass will be celebrated by Fr. John Deary, on Thursday, September 12, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice of Cape Coral.
