The family of Dorothy (Dottie) M. Peterson, 67, Wilmhurst Road, DeLand, who died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005, at Florida Hospital, DeLand, invites their friends to celebrate Dottie's life at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, at 5242 Aragon Ave., DeLeon Springs. She was born in Maysville, Ky., and moved to this area in 1957 from Cincinnati, Ohio. Dottie worked with the Volusia County School Board for 16 years before retiring. Survivors include her daughter, Patti Richards, DeLeon Springs; son, Pete Peterson, DeLand; and seven grandchildren. "I won't be far away, for life goes on. Just listen with your heart and you'll hear all my love around you."
