Dorothy M. Cavallone (nee Murphy), 75, died Sunday, May 15, 2011, at her home in North Arlington, N.J. The funeral is from the Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Rd., North Arlington, on Wednesday, May 17, at 9 a.m., thence to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington, for the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment is at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Born and raised in New York City, N.Y., Dorothy lived in North Arlington for the past 50 years. She worked in catering at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City for 43 years before retiring three years ago. Dorothy was a member of the Nutrition Center in North Arlington. She was the beloved wife of the late George J. Cavallone Sr.; the devoted mother of Lisa M. Cain and her husband, Michael, and George J. Cavallone and his wife, Catherine; the cherished grandmother of Ralph Carroll Jr., Nicole Carroll, and Michael P. Cavallone; the adored great-grandmother of Larissa M. Carroll, and dear sister of Margaret Ramsaur, and Eileen Turner.
