Dorothy M. McDonald, 76, of DeLand died October 9th at her home. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 13, 2001 at 11AM at St. Peter's Catholic Church, New York Ave., DeLand. Father Bill will officiate. Born in Glendale, WV, she moved to Deland from Orlando 12 years ago. She was the first female Lay Minister in St. Charles Catholic Church in Orlando; a Victims Advocate for Volusia County Sheriff's Dept., very active in both St. Peter's Catholic Church in DeLand and St. Charles in Orlando prior to that. Survivors: 2 sons, Harry, Austin, TX, Lee, Winter Park; 1 daughter, Renee West, Cabin John, MD; 2 sisters, Betty Zane and Marguerita Carter, Deland; 3 grandchildren.
